Role: Aqua Park Assistant Manager
Location: Lets Go Hydro, Knockbracken Reservoir, 1 Mealough Road, Carryduff
Contract: April – October, varied hours with most hours worked June, July and August
Hours of work: typically 40-hours per week, will includes working 5 days out of 7 including weekends.
Additional hours will be expected to meet peak periods and for key events – max 50 hours per week

As Aqua Park Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of our popular Aquapark. This includes inflatables, puddle park, changing barn & wetsuit hire. This is our most popular activity in resort, so we really need someone with a “get up and go” attitude!
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of our busy aqua park including rota according to the needs of the business.
- Recruitment, training, coaching and performance management of team members.
- Departmental training plan to ensure all team members are delivering services to the agreed standard.
- Keeping up to date training records and ensuring all lifeguards are qualified.
- Ensuring proper communication between departments in matters relating to aqua park and activities.
- Stock control of all equipment and wetsuits at the resort.
- Respond to all customer feedback in relation to complaints or queries.
- Operate all aspects of aqua park and activities computer system, including software maintenance, report generation and analysis.
- Updates group information, maintaining, monitoring and preparing group activity requirements.
- Draw up, amend, update and ensure implementation of all resort policies and procedures.
- Working closely with our Operations Manager, Maintenance Team / Manager to ensure all issues are fixed in a timely manner to ensure park operates safely.
- Ensuring daily checklists and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensuring accurate cash handling procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Maximising sales opportunities across the resort.
- Ensure that employees are always attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers and other employees.
- Maintain an organised and comprehensive filing system with documentation of purchases, vouchering, schedules, forecasts, reports and tracking logs.
- Department health and safety management including risk assessments, safe systems of work, staff training and monitoring.
- Accident reporting and analysis to reduce and prevent future accidents.
- Managing health and safety of the aquapark and our IQL audit.
- Actively seeking new and exciting activities to introduce at the resort to further expand the resort as a leisure destination in Belfast and Northern Ireland.

Essential Experience Requirements:
- 2 years experience managing a team in a similar role
- Water Park management experience in either a hotel, leisure centre or similar environment.
- Ability to manage a large team.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Implementing and maintaining systems and procedures.
- Experience managing department H&S policies and procedures including risk assessments.
- Customer Service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Legally eligible to work within the UK
